Troubleshooting Common Issues

Pump not working

First, check if the rainwater tank is empty.
If the tank is low or empty, the system is designed so that a float switch (if installed) will automatically turn the pump off to protect it from running dry.


When the tank refills with rainwater, the float switch will automatically reactivate the pump, and it will resume supplying rainwater.
There is no need to manually turn off the pump if it stops due to low water level.

f the pump is not running properly for other reasons (such as strange noises, leaking, or continuous cycling), then it should be turned off at the power and inspected.

Pump Switching On and Off Every few minutes

This may indicate a leak somewhere in the system, such as a leaking tap, pipe, or fitting.
Turn off the pump at the power immediately and arrange for repairs before restarting the system.
This will prevent unnecessary wear and possible overheating of the pump.

General System Maintenance

Inspect the pump, pipes, and fittings regularly for leaks, corrosion, or damage.

Check float switches

Check that float switches (if fitted) move freely and are not obstructed.

Check AquaSaver

If fitted with an AquaSaver, check that it switches smoothly between rainwater and mains supply when the tank is empty.
