Basix Plastix is expanding and preparing to relocate to larger premises in Rutherford. We’re looking for a friendly, motivated and sales-focused Showroom Sales Consultant to join our growing team.

This is a varied, hands-on role combining showroom sales, customer service and administration. You’ll help customers find the right products, manage enquiries from initial contact through to sale, and provide essential support to our day-to-day operations.

Reporting to the Site Operations Manager, your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting showroom, telephone and email customers with product enquiries.
• Identifying sales opportunities, preparing quotes and converting enquiries into sales.
• Proactively following up customer enquiries and outstanding quotations.
• Processing customer leads, quotes, orders, deposits and payments.
• Providing product advice on water tanks, pumps, accessories and related products.
• Using Xero and SimPRO for customer management, quotations, orders and administration. Experience with either system is an advantage.
• Supporting the Site Operations Manager and broader Rutherford team with general administration.
• Maintaining a clean, organised and presentable showroom, including occasional manual handling.

About you

We’re looking for someone who is approachable, organised and confident communicating with customers, with a genuine interest in sales and delivering great customer service.

You’ll ideally bring:

• Previous experience in sales, customer service or a similar customer-facing role.
• Confidence communicating with customers and following up sales opportunities.
• Good computer skills and attention to detail.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• A proactive attitude and willingness to learn about our products.

Experience with water tanks, pumps, plumbing or related industries would be an advantage, but industry experience isn’t essential. Product-specific training will be provided to the right candidate.

A current Australian driver’s licence and reliable own vehicle are required, as some initial training and occasional work may take place at our other local locations.
